PREGNANCY AND THE IMPORTANCE OF EXAMINATION OF PREGNANCY

There are still many women who do not understand things that are associated with pregnancy. Understanding of women and the mother or the pregnancy is even about things that I think is very important to have.

The gestation period is a period that begins from conception to the birth of the fetus. The duration of normal pregnancy is 280 days (40 weeks or 9 months 7 days) is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period.

Pregnancy itself is divided into three trimesters, namely: The first trimester begins from conception to the age of 3 months of pregnancy, starting from the second trimester of gestation 4 months to 6 months, and starting from the third trimester of gestation 7 months to 9 months.

During pregnancy there will be some changes physically and emotionally from the mother as well as the social changes in the family, rarely an expert medical trained so involved in a condition that is usually healthy and normal, they face an unusual task in providing support, the mother and her family plan welcomed new family members, monitoring the physical changes that normally experienced by the mother and fetal growth, but also detects and carry out any abnormal conditions.

In general, pregnancy is developing normally and produce healthy full-term baby's birth through the birth canal, but sometimes does not match expected. Risk assessment system can not predict whether a pregnant woman would be problematic during pregnancy.

Looked at these conditions, pregnant women should be encouraged to visit a midwife / doctor as early as possible since she felt herself to be pregnant to get the health care of pregnant women or commonly known as antenatal care in health.

There are several objective of antenatal care by pregnant women, which are:
  1. Monitor the progress of pregnancy to ensure the health of mother and infant growth.
  2. Improve and maintain physical, mental and social mother and baby.
  3. Recognize early abnormalities or complications that may occur during pregnancy. Including a history of the disease in general obstetrics and surgery.
  4. Preparing term labor, give birth safely, mother and baby with trauma seminimalnya possible.
  5. Prepare women to run normally during childbirth and exclusive breastfeeding.
  6. Prepare the role of mother and family in accepting the family so the baby can grow and develop normally.

Pregnancy tests should be performed by pregnant women during pregnancy and carried out several times. Pregnancy tests should be performed at least four times during pregnancy, which consists of a single time in the first quarter, one in the second quarter, and twice in the third quarter
Thus articles on pregnancy and the need for antenatal care by pregnant women can be given by me on the occasion of posting this article. I hope the article about the pregnancy and the need for pregnancy tests can be useful for the mother, the good who are pregnant or who wants to get pregnant
